Self-Review Tool, Guidance Posters & Best Practice Films
The purpose of this self-review tool is to enable primary schools across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin to carry out a quick and very simple analysis of their Primary PE and School Sport offers. It must be noted that this is not an assessment or measurement of a school’s performance, it is a support tool that is available for primary schools to use as and how they wish.
We hope that the tool will help primary schools to carefully think through where they might look to invest a proportion of their Primary Sport Premium, taking into consideration for example curriculum, PE, school sport and physical activity / healthy lifestyles. We have also created a support document that will help you go through the self review tool and process.

Local Coaching Provider Offers
Energize are aware that a number of primary schools might be looking to employ a local coaching provider to support with the delivery of PE and School Sport. In order to support schools a Local Coaching Directory has been developed to provide primary schools with a list of local coaching providers that operate within Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. The document includes information such as the areas of the county they cover, the sports that each provider is qualified to deliver, and their standard hourly rate. Although Energize will not recommend or advise you to opt for a particular organisation, we would like to remind you to ensure that any coach you are looking to work with meets the minimum standards of coaching. This information is available on the Employment and Deployment of Coaches poster with further information available on the UK Coaching Coaching in Primary Schools portal.
There is also guidance available regarding the effective and sustainable use of coaches.
