School Games

School Games is a unique opportunity to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country to take part in more competitive school sport.

School Games are made up of different levels of activity:

  • Digital Competition (Level 0)
  • Intra School Competition (Level 1): “I’m confident to compete within my school” – sporting competition for all students in school through intra-school competition
  • Inter School Competition (Level 2): “I’m confident to compete against other schools” – individuals and teams are selected to represent their schools in local inter-school competitions
  • County Finals – Inter School Competition (Level 3): the county will stage multi-sport School Games Festivals as a culmination of year-round school sport competition
  • National Finals

The Games are designed to build on the magic of the 2012 Olympics & Paralympics to enable every school and child to participate in competitive sport, including meaningful opportunities for disabled youngsters.

Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin is split into 6 separate School Games areas with each area having designated School Games Organisers who co-ordinate, organise and run the Inter School (Level 2) competitions.
