Bringing Health & Wellbeing Together: A Unified Offer for Schools
2-MINUTE READ
Strengthening support
Energize STW is working to simplify and strengthen health and wellbeing support for schools across Shropshire.
On 12th February, our Active Schools Manager, Claire Mansfield, and Kat Sealey, Team Lead for Shropshire School Nursing Service, brought together key partners, including Shropshire Active Travel Team, the Shropshire Good Food Partnership and Marches Academy Trust to develop a cohesive and holistic health offer for schools.
A Unified Approach to School Wellbeing
Schools often navigate multiple health and wellbeing initiatives, which can create challenges in accessing the right support.
Claire and local partners in Shropshire want to create a programme to bring these offers together under one point of contact, making it easier for schools to engage and implement effective actions.
This collaboration will focus on key areas such as:
✅ Physical activity and movement
✅ Healthy eating and nutrition
✅ Mental health and wellbeing

Progress and Next Steps
The first meeting was a great success, with all partners aligned in their commitment to creating a simplified and impactful approach.
Key steps have been identified to develop an action plan, and the group will meet again before Easter to scope out the offer. Their aspiration is to launch the new programme at the start of the new academic year in September for all schools in Shropshire, ensuring pupils can benefit from a coordinated and proactive approach to wellbeing.
