Tender Opportunity: VCSE Enabler – Telford & Wrekin
VCSE Enabler opportunity
As part of our place-based working in Telford and Wrekin, we are pleased to invite expressions of interest from organisations to host a new role of VCSE Enabler in Telford and Wrekin.
This opportunity is aimed at organisations who are well-placed to host or deliver this strategic role, helping to strengthen the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector's contribution to physical activity, health, and wellbeing across the borough.
The Strategic Oversight Group (see below) has worked collaboratively to shape the development phase and secure investment from Sport England.
Throughout this process, it became clear that the VCSE sector plays a vital role in encouraging more people to be active and lead healthier lives. At the same time, the In Kind Direct report highlighted the need for additional capacity and coordination within the sector to enable meaningful participation in system-level work.
The VCSE Enabler will act as a connector, facilitator, and advocate: building relationships across the VCSE and statutory sectors, supporting shared leadership, and enabling inclusive engagement in the Place Partnership programme. The role will be hosted by a local organisation with a flexible and hybrid working arrangement expected.
We welcome applications from organisations interested in hosting or seconding this role. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a borough-wide movement for healthier communities and a stronger VCSE sector.
